Capturing high-quality images of your artwork is essential for effectively sharing and promoting your artwork. But time and time again, I see people share a picture of their artwork that doesn’t do it justice because they haven’t learnt how to take a decent photo. And despite what you might think, you don’t actually need a fancy, professional photography equipment to achieve great results. Most people have exactly what they need in their pocket already - a mobile phone.
Despite a previous career as a photographer, almost all of the photos that I share on social media and my website have just been taken with my iPhone - and I don’t have the most expensive or latest model. I’ve just learnt a few tricks that are now second nature, so I thought I would share them with you below, so that you can learn how to leverage the capabilities of your phone to capture stunning photos of your work, ensuring that it looks as good online as it does in real life.
